Studio IV

As a group, we noticed tension on the site due to the lack of music in the River North Project and the heavy foot traffic on the grand promenade. To add to this tension, we designed the build to contrast the polygon-shaped site. We used a houndstooth pattern to create more tension through the occupying space.

We chose a Hydroponic cultivator and a DJ for the space, as there are not many places that allow DJs to produce or play their music. This would allow for a self-sustaining community with hydroponically grown food and a storefront that uses the food created. To save electronic power, we could use rain collection and solar paneling.
